1. Accepting these terms

By downloading, installing or using QuranicKids you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement.

2. Who may use the app

QuranicKids is intended for children aged 4-14, used with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf and set up the account.

3. Your account

You can use the app in guest mode without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping the password confidential and for activity that happens under it. Please give accurate contact details so account recovery works, and tell us promptly if you believe the account has been accessed without permission.

When adding a child profile, a first name or nickname is sufficient. We neither need nor want a child’s full legal name.

4. Cost

The app is free. It contains no advertising, no in-app purchases and no subscription. If that ever changes, existing content will not be moved behind a paywall without clear notice beforehand.

5. Religious content

QuranicKids teaches Qur’anic Arabic vocabulary. Qur’anic audio uses authentic recorded recitation rather than synthetic speech. Translations are provided as an aid to understanding and are not a substitute for the Arabic text of the Qur’an, nor for study with a qualified teacher.

Bengali translations are machine-drafted and reviewed before release; entries still awaiting review are flagged inside the app. If you find an error in any translation or in the presentation of Qur’anic content, please report it to quranickids0@gmail.com. Corrections of this kind are treated as a priority.

The app is a supplement to, not a replacement for, instruction from a qualified teacher. It does not teach Tajweed rules and is not a Hifz programme.

6. Intellectual property

The app’s design, artwork, characters, lesson structure, code and written content belong to QuranicKids. You may use the app for personal, family and classroom teaching purposes. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, decompile or create derivative works from it without written permission.

The text of the Qur’an is not owned by anyone. Recitation recordings and open-source datasets used in the app remain subject to their own licences.

A certificate generated by the app is yours: print it, share it, frame it.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the app for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to access accounts or data belonging to another family;
  • interfere with, overload or probe the service or its infrastructure;
  • reverse-engineer the app except to the extent the law expressly permits;
  • remove or obscure any copyright or attribution notice.

8. Availability

Lessons and audio are bundled with the app and work offline. Account sign-in and progress sync need an internet connection and depend on third-party infrastructure, so we cannot promise uninterrupted availability. We may update, change or discontinue features; where a change is significant we will give notice in the app.

9. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or that every translation is free of imperfection.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuranicKids is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Because the app is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

11. Ending the agreement

You may stop at any time by deleting your account in Parent Mode and uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached, or where required by law. Sections 6, 9, 10 and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which QuranicKids is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Consumers retain the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.

Please note: this document is a good-faith starting point written for a free, ad-free children’s education app. It is not legal advice. Have a qualified lawyer review both this and the privacy policy against the law of your jurisdiction before you publish the app.
